A Short Camping Trip, Hiking the Olympic Coast
On the weekend of May 6th, 2000 Ali and Cedar went for a short overnight trip near Ozette Lake on the Olympic Peninsula. We had a great time. Here are a few pics we took along the way.
We started the trip walking through the rainforest
on a slippery boardwalk
The forest turned to a grassy bog
As we aproached the beach we moved into an
open forest
Our first view of the pacific
Hiking over headlands . . .
Some secluded beach as the day wears on.
We "ford" the Ozette River.
We pitch our tent, eat spaghetti, sleep and
hike some more.
Some neat discoveries.
And that's about when we ran out of room on the camera. We hiked back in the beautiful weather to the car, loaded up and headed home.
