Arctic Adventures
Part 1: I was camping with a group of people somewhere cold. We went for a day hike from the cabin. Par of the way in I realized it was not a day hike but several overnights on the way to the North Pole! I didn’t have any appropriate clothes so I went back and scrounged other people’s blankets, socks , food etc, and tried to shove them all into my bookbag. Britta was there insisting we follow a river that on her map clearly missed the North Pole. Part 2:
Ali and I were waiting in line to get onto an old-fashioned roller coaster. As we went to get in to the coaster at the top of the stairs we realized that it wasn’t really a roller coaster. Instead it was something like a bobsled track (except more natural and through the woods/fields/streams) that we rode a polar bear down! We went really fast as the bear slid on it’s stomach and another bear and a dog sprinted along with us. Because of excessive exertion the animals were really thirsty so when we got to the lake below they dove in and started drinking. Good ride!
